Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore how Islamic work ethics effects on employee’s behavior through (Human motivation, Organizational conflict, Decisions making, Job happiness, Organizational change). Design/methodology/approach: A survey was conducted on 273 employees in Hikma Pharmaceuticals. Hierarchical regression was used to model the effect of Islamic work ethics on employee’s behavior through studied the effect of Islamic work ethics on human motivation, organizational conflict, decisions making, job happiness, organizational change. Findings – The results show that Islamic work ethics improve employee’s behavior in Hikma Pharmaceuticals. Moreover, the Islamic work ethics also improve human motivation, organizational conflict, decisions making, job happiness and organizational change. Moreover, the organization should be faired in wages to enhance human motivation to achieve high levels of performance, the organization should be encouraged their employees to continuous improvement, the organization should be provided the necessary information for employee’s improvement to contribute in decision-making process, and the organization should be increased cooperation between manager and employees to enhance job happiness. Originality/value – To the best of our knowledge, we are not aware of any study that has previously investigated effects of Islamic work ethics on employee’s behavior through its elements; human motivation, organizational conflict, decisions making, job happiness and organizational change. Islamic work ethics is positively related with employee’s behavior and its elements.
